Vassilis Philippou Trio, is a group of 3 musicians from Cyprus, who share an aesthetic approach which combines modern music with world music rooted in elements of music traditions of the eastern Mediterranean. Their music is deeply connected to poetry and many of the compositions are based on original poems in the Cypriot dialect. They have released their debut album in 2022 entitled 'Colourful Emptiness' and after a few appearances in festivals of the island they recently performed at the Tinos World Music Festival. In 2026 they will be realising their second album.
